Bedrooms and living areas: surfaces first, floors last

Put away clothing and loose belongings so accessible furniture, windowsills and floors can be reached. Hand-wiping baseboards, detailed blind cleaning, vent dusting, reachable fixtures, doors and trim are part of the deep-clean extras. They are useful to review when a home needs more than routine upkeep, particularly before settling into a recurring schedule.
